Team workshop overview

• employees gather at the studio for refreshments
• tour of the studio with a discussion on the clay forming and finishing process
• throwing demonstration: clay preparation, how to throw on the potter´s wheel, and clean-up
• participants spend 2 hours practicing throwing with frequent instructor assistance
• co-workers are encouraged to be conscious of other´s progress, helping if possible
• whole day workshops break for lunch (half day and whole day workshops available)
• participants return to finish pottery pieces and make glaze choices
• pottery pieces are finished at the studio and available for pick up two weeks later

The team building experience

Team building at Payne Street Pottery is designed to help co-workers get in touch with his or her creative side while having fun. When a group of employees gather in our stress free environment, they become free to explore alternant approaches to problem solving. And in the pottery studio, each participant starts out equally new, creating the opportunity to see co-workers in a different way. Participants will begin naturally to encourage and help each other, building individual confidence and strengthening the team; unexpected leaders often emerge. Team building at Payne Street Pottery will use ancient clay working techniques to develop leadership abilities and enhanced co-worker appreciation that transfers back to the workplace.
